FOUNDER & CEO

Dr. SenGupta leads Jeevan’s management team and oversees all research and development around core carbon removal technology. He led the Direct Air Capture research paper published in Science Advances (March 2023): “Direct air capture (DAC) and sequestration of CO2: Dramatic effect of coordinated Cu(II) onto a chelating weak base ion exchanger.” He is the PC Rossin Professor of Chemical and Environmental Engineering at Lehigh University, with decades of leadership in environmental and chemical engineering.

COO

Steven Siegel is a materials engineer and proven entrepreneur with a successful track record building and leading teams on large-scale, public-private infrastructure and development projects over the last 30 years. Over the past decade, Mr. Siegel built and led a 60-person team to execute the largest urban revitalization project in America which included the construction and commissioning of a large-scale commercial manufacturing facility and over $140 million of public infrastructure. Mr. Siegel graduated from Lehigh University with a B.S. in Materials Science and Engineering and has raised over $350 million in joint venture equity funding for his projects.

Director of Engineering

Peter McNulty is an entrepreneurial senior executive with over 30 years of experience in growing environmental engineering enterprises. He founded Typhon Treatment Systems in 2014 and served as CEO through 2020. He managed all aspects of Typhon’s growth from concept to commercial development. Mr. McNulty founded N.E.I. Treatment Systems in 1997, and managed all aspects of its growth and transformation from a sole consultancy into a global marine equipment manufacturing company.

LEAD R&D ENGINEER

Dr. Chen manages the development, measurement, verification, and optimization of Jeevan’s DeCarbonHIX process. He authored and defended the groundbreaking doctoral thesis on the use of ion exchange in the carbon removal process, and is the co-author of the Direct Air Capture research paper published in Science Advances in collaboration with Professor SenGupta.

HEAD OF BUSINESS OPERATIONS

Chris leads Jeevan’s business development, marketing, and operations. A veteran entrepreneur and early stage business builder, Chris led disruptive digital marketing teams at The New York Times and Newsweek Magazine, founded and bootstrapped a digital product engineering and marketing agency, and most recently served as COO of a high-growth mindful wellness company called The Class.

DIRECTOR, COMMERCIAL OPERATIONS

Brian Holekamp is a commercial supply chain and manufacturing expert who has advised a range of companies on operational model strategy, performance improvement, and manufacturing system implementation. He has served as a Captain and Blackhawk pilot in the Missouri National Guard for 10 years and holds an MBA from Wharton and an undergraduate degree in economics and engineering from Dartmouth.

FINANCE & STRATEGY

Neal advises on financial planning and business strategy. His professional experience includes leading financial and strategy teams, including at Confluent (NASDAQ: CFLT) during its $828M IPO in 2021. He also served as a Vice President at TPG Capital, where he led investments in the chemical, power, manufacturing, and software industries. His other experience includes McKinsey & Company and Google.
