Technology
Jeevan is disrupting carbon capture, removal, and utilization with efficient, modular technology.
Our Resin Material
At the core of our patent-pending technology is a new class of solid sorbent amines named DeCarbonHIX.
Armored with copper, DeCarbonHIX is highly durable, has extraordinary carbon dioxide adsorption capacity, and a low desorption energy.
Our Capture Process.
Flue gas or atmospheric air is passed through our DeCarbonHIX resin, adsorbing carbon dioxide molecules. Following adsorption, low temperature heat or salt water can be used to remove the carbon dioxide which is either compressed for utilization or sequestration or converted to valuable minerals.
Key Differentiators
Our technology yields the following advantages over other similar approaches:
Our sorbent material has a sorption capacity that is significantly higher
We use <90°C heat for desorption
Our resin material is extremely durable and resilient
The input materials required for our process are widely available
Validation
HIX technology, on which DeCarbonHIX is based, has been commercialized in ventures that are serving millions of people around the world.
HIX technology is embedded within Drinkwell’s water infrastructure, purifying more than 1 million liters of water every day across Bangladesh and India.
Jeevan’s DeCarbonHIX is the latest advancement on its HIX Technology Platform, and the next quantum leap in carbon capture innovation.
The scientific research describing the DeCarbonHIX technology was published in Science Advances on March 8, 2023.
Roadmap
We are working with partners and customers on both the sequestration and commercial utilization sides of our business to meet the needs of these growing markets. The modularity and durability of our technology opens doors to innovate in new ways that allow us to disrupt and shape the future of the green CO2 circular economy.
